HOUSTON — Nathaniel Pollard Jr. of Maryland-Jap Shore earned MVP honors after main his group to victory within the second annual HBCU All-Star Sport, performed Sunday as a part of the Remaining 4 weekend’s festivities.
Pollard had 10 factors and 13 rebounds to guide Group Barnett over Group Reed 113-99. The sport was performed on the campus of Houston’s Texas Southern College to spotlight gamers from traditionally Black faculties and universities.
There have been 12 gamers on every group, which had been named after HBCU legends. Group Reed was named for the late Willis Reed, the Corridor of Famer who performed at Grambling State earlier than main the New York Knicks to 2 NBA championships.
